Visuals Manager. Senior Technician


Ron is a Senior Architectural Technician with a specialism in 3D visualisation, having the role of Visualisation Manager. Experienced in producing 3D still images, panoramas and animations, he has recently expanded Design Development’s portfolio to include fully interactive virtual reality modelling and real-time rendering.

project specific experience

Ron has worked on a number of high-profile developments, including the refurbishment of Tinside Pool in Plymouth, park & ride terminal buildings at the George Junction (Plymouth) and Threemilestone (Truro), a multi-phase redevelopment of Lewannick Primary School, new Humanities Classroom block at Penrice Academy as well as a number of developments for housebuilders.

other experience

Ron is experienced in job running everything from one-off houses and extensions to large residential developments, school projects, adult social care developments, industrial as well as transport & infrastructure.


Outside work Ron enjoys cycling, playing bowls and has recently started to learn the Argentinian Tango. He is also a keen modeller, having won prizes at local and national level and judges at the national championships. Alongside modelling, he volunteers for the charity Models for Heroes, and early in 2019 undertook a Mental Health First Aid Course to assist the charity in their work.
