We are delighted to announce that following our appointment to work on the Cornwall Land Initiative project we have successfully gained planning permission for the first two sites!
The CLI (publicly launched as Homes for Cornwall) project is an innovative new housing programme for Cornwall that has been launched by Cornwall Council. The project will see over 320 new homes being provided on 11 council owned sites across Cornwall over the next five years and brings together the Council, leading housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try and affordable housing provider DCH in an exciting new partnership.
The first two sites to have successfully gained planning permission are for 114 new homes at Shortlanesend, Truro and for 22 new homes at Blackwater village, between Truro and Redruth.
This exciting news paves the way for the remaining 9 schemes to progress allowing CLI’s vision of providing affordable homes across the whole of Cornwall to now become a reality and we are pleased to be a part of this.
